Welcome back to our regularly scheduled program!

For those who are just joining JFF on our journey Welcome! For our longtime supporters, hello again, and welcome back!

It's been a little bit since the last blog post that introduced Just For Fun Farms, but I figured that since some new people may have joined us since then, and wanted to give a full introduction to not only myself but everyone who encompasses JFF from founder to head of management and head of marketing.

Owen Chase
Owen Chase

Founder and owner of Just For Fun Farms

I love growing food and sharing it with others. I started Just For Fun Farms in my dorm room sophomore year when I was exploring ways I could practice my love for agriculture year-round. Microgreens worked great for my small set up and I grew my first microgreens under my lofted dorm bed.

As an entrepreneur and urban farmer, I manage all aspects of the business from harvesting to business development and building relationships with other Local Businesses.

Fun fact - I ate cow hooves before - they were definitely something new!

Head of Customer Relations & Success

With nearly six years in the food industry, I've worn many hats- from working at a local bakery and ice cream parlor to bussing, hosting, and eventually managing a restaurant. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: my passion for connecting with people.

When the opportunity to join Just For Fun Farms arose, I knew it was the perfect fit. I love building relationships, creating meaningful experiences, and ensuring our customers feel valued with every interaction.

Fun Fact: I successfully completed a Pokemon speed run (it took 9 hours).

Head of Marketing and Social Media Administrator

Last but not least myself, from a very young age I was ingrained in eating well and in a way clean living. Growing up in Chicago, connecting with the city and the various small businesses within the food industry also stuck with me. When I had the chance to work with Owen and Margo and help out with the growth of the business, I jumped at the chance, especially being a marketing major and getting to do some actual marketing.

While this is the first official position I have had, I have been connected with food and small businesses for many years. I hope to bring a personal touch to all the content sent out and made to promote Just For Fun Farms. I am excited to build more of the community around the farm up more and see familiar faces and get to see some new ones!

Fun Fact: I have traveled to Morocco four times now

With that, there is a reintroduction to the brand new team at Just For Fun Farms. We are excited to hear any feedback so leave a comment, like, and spread the word about JFF!

Blogs will also be coming back! Every other week from when this first blog has posted there will be a blog post pertaining to the business, Microgreens, or even some viewer interests related to the business.

Best wishes and thank you for your continued dedication and support or JFF!
